A teenager has to face lots of changes. It is the time when he/she is no longer a child, but not a grown up person either. The physical and mental change that takes place makes a teenager confused and anxious. The skin problems of a teenager are much more than at any other stage of life. Acne often accompanies teenagers and poses a great problem for them. It is something that every teenager is afraid of.
Acne may appear in different forms like pimples, blackheads, cysts, whiteheads and so on. They get acne because of the hormone changes that take place when they reach their teens and reach puberty. In some teenagers it is also hereditary.

The sebaceous glands in the body secrete sebum, which is needed for the skin to remain soft and supple. But in the teenage period the secretion is increased.
